History
The Danish award winning design company munthe plus simonsen was established in 1994 and have since then been one of the leading brands on the Danish fashion scene. The founder Naja Munthe designs all styles herself in all of the four collections presented yearly.
Today munthe plus simonsen has three concept stores in Copenhagen, Århus and Oslo and 20 retail stores worldwide.
munthe plus simonsen’s head office is located in the heart of Copenhagen, in the beautiful surroundings of Grønnegade and Pistolgården. The showroom where the newest collections are presented is also located here.
Design
munthe plus simonsen’s universe is the embodiment of a laid-back glam attitude with an edgy touch. The collections are created around fine materials and conducted details. The women who shop munthe plus simonsen’s designs appreciate luxury everyday. They expect a high level of quality and refuse to compromise on what they want.
Naja Munthe gets the inspiration for the collections from the beautiful and rough Scandinavian seasons. However, references to Ibiza’s glowing summer sun and laid-back life style are always to be found in her collections as well.
Naja Munthe
Naja Munthe (1968)was born and raised in Copenhagen. In 1994 she graduated from Kolding Design School and immediately after she founded the design company munthe plus simonsen, which today is still one of the most trendsetting fashion houses in Denmark.
Naja Munthe has a clear vision with her design. Her aim is to design the star pieces of your wardrobe. Styles that make the difference whether it is for a party, work or the everyday. The woman who is wearing munthe plus simonsen should feel beautiful and steal glances while wearing a comfortable outfit on a busy day.
In 2010 Naja Munthe introduced her first HOME-collection named Casa de Luxe by Naja Munthe, with an emphasis on beautiful textiles, prints and colours inspired by Naja Munthe’s many travelling and exclusive interior experiences throughout the world.
Furthermore, Naja Munthe has launched a shoe and handbag collection in leather of the highest quality. The edgy look of the shoe and bag collection compliments the clothes collection in the most beautiful way. The shoes and handbags will be sold in shops from AW 2012.
